Art Bouman, The Dusty Halos & Rob Hutten Live in Dartmouth
September 7 @ 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm
$15.00Join us for an evening of soul-stirring performances downstairs at the Sanctuary Arts Centre. Featuring three incredible acts, this night promises to be a captivating journey through folk, blues, and acoustic traditions.
Art Bouman is a folk musician residing in Kjuktuk Mi’kma’ki. He performs music in the African American roots tradition and is interested in reviving and reinterpreting the connections between black folk music and the banjo.
With celestial harmonies and intricate fingerstyle guitar, The Dusty Halos combine the textures of old time acoustic music with original songwriting. A duo with three members, the Halos are comprised of singer-songwriter-guitarist Rebecca Fairless, singer-fiddler Katharine Harrison, and singer-bassist Gabriella Ciurcovich. Weaving themes of heartbreak and longing into tuneful tapestries, The Dusty Halos explore the interplay of light and darkness, finding solace in the shadows.
Rob Hutten is a songwriter and performer whose original material sits comfortably alongside his thoughtful interpretations of blues, folk and country songs from the first half of the last century.
Don’t miss this intimate, unforgettable night of live music!
