House Concert with Cassie Noble & Gamekeeper
November 10 @ 8:00 pm - 10:30 pm
With Monday being a holiday, come out for some live music on Sunday, Nov 10. We welcome two artists from Ontario. Each has enjoyed success as part of other groups: Cassie Noble with The Do Good Badlies – bluesy folky grunge rock and Gamekeeper (aka Warren Frank) with Heaps and The Kents. Yet with too much to share, they are touring their solo work together.
Cassie released her first solo EP in 2019. She now has 2 EPs and a newly released (2023) full length album. Noble was awarded Gold in Kawartha Lakes Reader’s Choice 2021 “Local Musician Band”, Gold in Lindsay’s Community Votes 2023, and longlisted for the 2022 Faith Nolan Music Award. Notable performances include Sofar Sounds, Rogers Hometown Hockey, Wintersong Fest, Springtide Festival, Yukon Rendezvous Festival, and opening for Bif Naked. Check out a few videos.
Finding beauty in madness, trying to find the words to share it. Cassie’s Indie Folk Pop style is mellow, heavy with emotion, and overflowing with honesty. The music she creates feels calm and surreal, like sitting by a fire in the middle of nowhere.
Cassie will be supported by Gamekeeper. Sneak peak of his sound…..
Gamekeeper (Warren Frank) is a singer-songwriter from the Kawartha Lakes, best known for his time as the lead singer for indie-rock outfits, The Kents, and Heaps, heard across Canada on national radio. In his new solo project, Gamekeeper, Frank’s voice and lyricism take centre stage in a more stripped-back setting, while maintaining his trademark honest songwriting.
These folks are new to us and may be new to you. Don’t let that stop you from joining us.
Tickets are only $20. Like all of our house concerts, 100 % of the door will go directly to the artists. We provide the stage, chairs and hopefully a room filled with eager listeners. Snacks and soft drinks will be offered; otherwise it is BYOB. Bringing music-loving-friends and visiting family members is strongly encouraged.
