Join us for a fun-filled week of nerdy workshops at the Board Room Game Cafe! Designed for teens aged 13 and up, each afternoon of our Anti-Bored Board Club will feature it’s own unique workshop. Whether you’re a seasoned gamer or just looking to try something new, this event is perfect for all skill levels.

To participate in this event, review the options of the different workshops below and sign up for the day that interests you the most, or select the Full Week ticket to sign up for all of them!

Admission is $50 each per day (+tax and Eventbrite fees), granting everyone access to both the camp, and our collection of 600+ board games. Admission also includes a small afternoon snack! Lunch will be available for purchase from our regular afternoon menu.

Tuesday July 23 – Adventures in Improv: Improv Techniques for RPG and On-the-Spot Storytelling

Have you planned a last second gaming session, or ever been leading an adventuring party when suddenly, they ask to speak to the shopkeeper, and you didn’t prepare? Have no fear! Using improv exercises and techniques we will dive into things like creating quick characters and how to tell a compelling story on the spot- it’s playful, it’s engaging and it’s fun and anyone can do it!

Wednesday July 24 – Fables of the Grandmother Tree: A New Player D&D Adventure

Join Dungeon Master Dakota in a whimsical mini adventure wonderful for new players. Create a story with new friends based on the adventures around the grandmother tree. Learn how to play D&D 5e and make friends with people with similar interests!

Dice lovers gather round! So you’ve started your ever-growing collection of math rocks, but how will you keep them safe from peril? Come by on July 25 to create your own custom dice rolling tray, perfect for your next tabletop game or DnD adventure!

Friday July 26 – The Art of Deduction: A Deduction Games Workshop!

Dive into the world of deduction games! Deduction games are all about figuring out your opponent’s plans based on clues. Did your opponent give anything away? What didn’t they tell you? Do they have a trick up their sleeve? We’ll play a game together, exploring the mechanics and mastering the strategies, then you’ll make your own version of the game to take home with you!

Tickets cancelled more than 48 hours in advance of the event are eligible for a full refund on ticket price. Tickets cancelled less than 48 hours are eligible for 50% refund. There will be no refunds for no shows.
