Spooky RPG Halloween at the Board Room Game Cafe!
October 31 @ 5:00 pm - 11:30 pm
Join us for an evening of spooky games and fun! We’ve recruited some of our amazing volunteer Game Masters from TTRPG Tuesday and from the LGBT+ TTRPG Night crew to run some awesome Spooky Role-Playing Game One-Shots!
To participate in this event, review the options of the different games below and sign up for a seat at the table that interests you the most! We’ll also be giving away some treats for those who come in costume, so bring a pillow case to collect your candy, and get ready for an evening of tricks, treats and terrifying TTRPGs!
Admission is $10 each (+tax and Eventbrite fees), granting everyone access to both the event, and our collection of 600+ board games before and after the event (provided there is space)! Please note, these Halloween Spooky TTRPG games may not be suitable for all ages due to some mature themes in these horror settings. We’ve used a rough estimate on what the session would be rated if it were a movie. Be sure to check the description of the game you’re signing up for to make sure it’s right for you, and if you’re not sure – reach out to [email protected] for more details. Please note that players under `14 years of age must be accompanied by a chaperone.
Check out the available games below, games have variable start times between 6pm-7pm, and doors open at 5pm!

Join Alexandre for Delta Green! Game starts at 6pm. Rated PG13
Adventure Hook from the GM:
“The house at 1206 Spooner Avenue is a place gone wrong. In the last 50 years, 18 people have died there, and you can feel it. Doors in 1206 Spooner Avenue stay shut, and no one ever hears a child’s laughter at night. In the hours that stretch like taffy after two, no one ever hears music from a darkened room. It’s Call of Cthulhu meets X-Files. In Delta Green you play as secret agents covering up the unknown horrors from the public while keeping a grip on reality. New agents welcome, and bring slick shades (optional)!”
Characters can be created together at the beginning of the session, or pre-made options will be available.

Join Beck for Dread! Game starts at 7pm. Rated 14A
Adventure Hook from the GM:
“Can you survive one night in Lockwood Manor?
The decaying estate at the edge of town is the ultimate challenge for thrill-seekers, and biggest threat for those scared of Halloween dares. Known for its grim history and dark secrets, the manor’s reputation has become a myriad of superstitious stories. Armed with nothing but a Ouija board, a sleeping blanket, and your bravado, you and your friends (or enemies or your crush omg) step into the haunted haunted house. Dismissing tales of ghostly encounters, prepared for a night of silly jokes and a few spooks, you take the challenge of “Last a night in Lockwood Manor” in stride. However, as midnight strikes, strange occurrences begin—whispers echo through the halls, objects shift inexplicably, and a suffocating sensation of being watched descends upon you. As the night wears on, the spirits tied to the manor’s dark past awaken…
Will you uncover the mysteries hidden within its walls and escape? Make it out by the skin of your teeth, with or without your friends… Or will you become yet another chapter in its haunted legacy?”
Characters will be created together at the beginning of the session.

In the city of Stangengrad, Lord Vladeska Drakov has mobilized every last citizen and foreigner in the kingdom to hold the city and prevent the zombies from crossing the Zapadnost River and breaking out into the neighbouring countries and kingdoms. Join Tallis for CAIN! Game starts at 6pm. Rated 14A
Adventure Hook from the GM:
“Did you know the word “monster” used to mean a divine symbol of our wrongdoing, a warning to alter our ways? Too bad nothing ever really changes. This world is awash with SIN. Our misdeeds will be repaid in blood by the monsters that haunt our psyches. It’s up to you, EXORCIST, to set the clock back a little at a time. Just be warned: such tools as we take up leave a stain that never comes out. CAIN is a game about fighting supernatural horrors with their own psychic powers, inspired by Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, and the Persona series.”
