Terror Vision Presents: Halloween (1978)
October 30 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
The Night He Came Home!
Jamie Lee Curtis cemented her life-long iconic status as a “Scream Queen” thanks in no small part to her remarkable feature film debut in John Carpenter‘s original HALLOWEEN, a groundbreaking movie that would go on to spawn countless sequels, several reboots, inspire numerous other filmmakers, and provide untold numbers of nightmares for a generation of movie lovers.
The story really begins on a cold Halloween night in 1963, when six year old Michael Myers brutally murdered his 17-year-old sister, Judith, before being locked away for 15 years. But on October 30, 1978, while being transferred for a court date, the 21-year-old Myers steals a car, escapes custody, and returns to his quiet hometown of Haddonfield, Illinois, where he looks for his next victims… Also starring Donald Pleasance.
“One reason Halloween has aged so well is that it wastes little time on character development, plot, theme or any other elements extraneous to the critical business of sending shudders down your spine.” (The NYTimes)
“Regardless of how silly you think it all is, this will have you scared witless by the time the end credits roll; low budget horror hog heaven.” (Empire Magazine)
As always, audience costumes are very welcome – and encouraged!
