The Halifax Camerata Singers present Reverb, an immersive, building-wide choral experience created in collaboration with Polaris, a Choirs for Change choir. Featuring more than 100 singers and guest instrumentalists, Reverb transforms The Discovery Centre, one of Halifax’s most beloved centres of curiosity and learning into a resonant landscape of sound.

This bold, never to be repeated event brings together two of Nova Scotia’s most dynamic choral organizations for a concert unlike anything either ensemble has previously undertaken.

Upon arrival, the audience of 250 will be divided into five groups and guided through musical “stations” inspired by the Centre’s exhibits: earth, water, heart, light, and sky. Each space will feature small ensembles drawn from both choirs, offering intimate sets of repertoire curated to reflect the natural elements and spirit of the venue.

The program begins and ends with both choirs unified on the sweeping central staircase that runs the full height of the building. In these opening and closing moments, more than 100 voices will combine in a powerful collective sound, making the entire building reverberate with song.
