Two Pianos No Rodeo: Bob Wiseman & Mike Boguski

Experience an unforgettable evening of experimental piano music as two of Canada’s most unpredictable keyboard minds take the stage at Sanctuary Arts Centre in Dartmouth.
On October 29th at 7:30 PM, founding Blue Rodeo member Bob Wiseman and current Blue Rodeo pianist Mike Boguski will share one grand piano for a stripped-down, wide-open musical journey.
This isn’t a concert—it’s a piano séance in two acts. Each artist takes the same instrument and launches in opposite directions, creating two deeply personal sonic explorations with no safety net, no genre crutches, and no rodeo.
Come for the clash of styles. Stay for the communion. This is piano as protest, as prayer, or as whatever they feel that night. Perfect for those who like their art live, unexpected, and slightly dangerous. Think of it less like a show and more like two sonic postcards from different planets sent through the same grand piano.
Bob Wiseman brings punk energy and lo-fi provocation to the keys. A founding member of Blue Rodeo, Wiseman is known for sound collage, biting satire, and sonic left turns. Think Thelonious Monk meets William S. Burroughs at a Toronto dive bar—nothing’s off limits.
Mike Boguski is an ambient soul explorer and master of restraint. As Blue Rodeo’s current pianist, Boguski transforms the piano into landscape and melody into memory. Expect quiet storms, cinematic swells, and musical cliff jumping.
